Six recycling innovations that could change fashion

I wear my clothes until they absolutely disintegrate and avoid buying new ones like the plague. Am I doing it right?

NGOs warn the real problem is over-production, and that tech innovations may just provide cover for brands to continue pumping out billions of new clothes.

This is unfortunately not addressed by the people pushing for recycling and therefore remains the main problem. Lets say that best case scenarios allow for 10% of the clothes to be recycled. That still means 90% of the production remains necessary for the use as we see right now.

A change of attitude that would let people buy clothes prioritizing their use for as long as possible would easily be a much more productive solution. Unfortunately for the fashion industry this means a lot of lost profits so it is not something they can simply agree to promote.
