I wear my clothes until they absolutely disintegrate and avoid buying new ones like the plague. Am I doing it right?

This is unfortunately not addressed by the people pushing for recycling and therefore remains the main problem. Lets say that best case scenarios allow for 10% of the clothes to be recycled. That still means 90% of the production remains necessary for the use as we see right now.
A change of attitude that would let people buy clothes prioritizing their use for as long as possible would easily be a much more productive solution. Unfortunately for the fashion industry this means a lot of lost profits so it is not something they can simply agree to promote.
