Social media inspires Japanese women to dash into rickshaw pulling

Seeing as this is Japan, how about using the correct Japanese spelling 'Jinrikisha' 人力車 instead of the Americanized abomination?

Gender aside, Rickshaw pulling/driving is a arduous, demanding, hazardous job.

I'm impressed.

Getting a good amount of exercise, enough money to survive without problems, some online popularity (for those that like it) and promoting the tourism in their city is positive enough. Helping also to change outdated concepts about gender roles is a nice extra.

We went for a jinrikisha ride with the kids the other day, and we were surprised that the puller was a young girl. She told us she is a college student and does this as a part time job during weekends, besides the money helps her staying fit, improve conversational skills, and practice English because more than half of the customers are foreigners. And she also told us that this summer was hell...

Wow!! I watched a long video on YT about a month ago about this, there was a beautiful young lady named Rie-chan pulling the rickshaw. She is so captivating in every thing she does. It is great other young ladies also want to do this and I hope they are all successful.
