It's best not to be credulous. Rather, be skeptical of companies that want to pick your pocket. Also, 10 times a month may be a bit too much. Alcoholism is a serious problem and probably is going unaddressed for many.

Have tried a number of these tonics with varying success. Next Tokyo trip is not far away so will try the ukon no chikara before drinking rather than after to see if it helps.

10 times a month drinking is probably too much I agree, but drinking is way too much fun to not do.

Best is to not drink too much and alternate with a non-alcoholic drink. Then, upon arriving at home, drink some water. Cheaper than spending a ton on 'cures' of dubious efficacy.

Alka-Seltzer is the hands-down solution. However, I've never seen it in Japan. If no Alka Seltzer, then a full dose of Ibuprofen or aspirin with lots of water. Otherwise, you're wasting your time.

I alternate one drink with one glass of water any time I'm drinking somewhere where that is feasible. I did that last night when out with some clients. They were laughing at my ordering a glass of water with every drink I ordered, but even though I was pretty drunk last night, I didn't have a hangover, so I'm glad I did it that way.

If you are going to tie one off, then the best bet is to pre-load on water and maybe some ibuprofen and have water along the ride. Also, eating first is helpful but as Japanese mainly eat and drink at the same time this is not a big problem as in the States or Europe.

It's a good pre-remedy I use too. But usually outdoors in the summer for long periods of drinking, like 4th of july. The water after every couple 3.5% light beers really balances out ur spinal fluids. 11AM~2AM, thats alot of water and beer.
