First-time travelers to Japan can often be overwhelmed when putting together their itinerary, as the country offers so many delicacies, festivities, and traditions spread throughout many faraway regions. Fortunately, the ongoing Furusato Matsuri Tokyo 2020 event at the Tokyo Dome is the perfect one-stop event for visitors to sample the very best of Japans food and performances all under one roof.

Running from Jan 10 to 19, the Furusato Matsuri is a gigantic event that showcases the charm of each prefecture in Japan through food, festival performances, and arts and crafts. Guests can simulate a nationwide gourmet (many of which are selected winners of national contests) and entertainment journey throughout Japan by visiting a seemingly endless number of stalls and a stage area where performers from around the country demonstrate the extravagance of their respective region's festivals.

One of the spectacular festival performances on display is the Aomori Nebuta Matsuri, which features a giant glowing warrior float and skilled dancers and musicians putting on a lively show unique to the region.
