It's not relationships that are the issue, it's the fact that same sex couples don't have the same rights as different sex couples. Any inequality like this should be highlighted in anyway possible, especially when there are people like Rolf with his attitudes making it his business.

I feel that way about all relationships.

There's nothing new about same sex relationships---why is so much fuss being made. Such relationshops are nobody's business but those involved---why shout it from the rooftops?

Pity Rolf, he has a very narrow imagination.

According to Rolf, old people can't get married because they cannot start a family. Too bad. I'm totally gay and my lover of 25 years and I would like to get married, but considering the mess straights have made of marriage, I sometimes wonder.

Y'know, nature is not restricted to pairs - a lot of nature are about polygamy and harems too, and sometimes incest even
So you'd be the first in line to follow nature then? Lol
Be careful about just blindly following nature

Yes they can. The legal definition of marriage (which is the only part governments have a say in) is created by governments, and they can definitely change it. Hence you have multiple countries in the world that respect humans' right to marry.
Strangerland
Neither nature nor reason informs us that. Homosexuality is common in nature, and there is no valid reason that people cannot marry simply because they share common genitalia.
My mother and step-father have been married for 25 years. They never had kids. In fact, there are countless marriages that produce no kids. This seems like something you made up, rather than something that is based in reality.
Agreed, which is why it's ridiculous for governments to prevent people from marrying.

Of course they can, Rolf. Countries redefine things all the time. History is all about redefining things once we realise the defnitions are wrong or incomplete.
