Vietnam Festa in Kanagawa 2019 to be held Sept 7-8

The fifth Vietnam Festa in Kanagawa will take place on Sept 7 and 8. The event is a showcase of the attractions of Vietnam, such as food, culture, business and economy. It’s a great chance to immerse yourself in the world of Vietnam.

This year’s theme is “Let’s find a new Vietnam!” The event offers a variety of programs that visitors can join in, interact with others and get to know new aspects of Vietnam.

Top Vietnamese artist Noo Phước Thịnh, and the festa’s ambassador, Yuka Ueno, who took part last year, will be on hand again to give a boost to the festival.

One of the main features of the fifth festa is the “Japan-Vietnam Noodle Fair,” at which visitors can taste various types of noodles as well as the famous pho noodles.

In addition to performances of song, dance, musical instruments of Vietnam, teams of Yosakoi dancers, which is gaining popularity also in Vietnam, will show their dynamic style, joined by international teams.

Date & time: Sept 7-8, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Venue: Nihon-odori Ave., K.P.G. Main Building, and other sites

September is designated as “Month of Vietnam”, and relevant programs are carried out in various places across Kanagawa, including hotels offering Vietnamese cuisine and ingredients.

KANAGAWA FESTIVAL in HANOI 2019

The KANAGAWA FESTIVAL in HANOI is scheduled to be held again this year.

Noo and Ueno will appear at this event, too. The event also features a special performance presented by Fuma Ninja from Odawara. There will be a tourism booth to promote Kanagawa Prefecture to Vietnamese people.
