As the number of people infected with the novel coronavirus continues to rise in Japan, it's only natural that there should be a proportionate need for disinfection. In spite of increased pressure for companies to allow employees to telework, Japan's work culture is making it difficult to implement.

According to the Asahi Shimbun, a survey conducted between March 31 and April 1 by Line in collaboration with Japan's health ministry yielding 24 million responses revealed a measly 5.2% teleworking rate.

For company offices and hotels, the discovery of an infected person requires immediate action, obviously beginning with the care of the employee. However, in order to ensure the safety of those who must continue to work there, it's necessary to call upon the services of disinfection professionals.

Daiichi Service Solutions Co Ltd is providing a new Virus Buster service for the specific purpose of disinfecting areas contaminated with the novel coronavirus.

Service details

If an infected person is discovered in your home or office, call immediately.

They'll send over an emergency response crew. Work will be conducted discreetly and will look like normal cleaning services. If you request overnight work, it will be completed by morning so you can return to work the following day.

They'll only use safe chemicals such as ethanol (alcohol), sodium hypochlorite (bleach), and hydrogen peroxide.

Virus Buster offers two options, a pre-emptive cleaning and disinfection service, and a disinfection service for after an infection has been discovered.

Cleaning and disinfection will be conducted for all floors, surfaces, furniture, carpeting, building structures (doors, handles, buttons, switches, windows, tables, screens, as well as ventilation systems, fans, filters, etc.

Were we not just reading on J-Today about Covid-19 scams being on the uptick? The pricing of this company certainly seems a bit much. And what certification do they have as to guarantee your place is sterile after paying their gigantic fees? And that they themselves don't spread it to others?
