Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Japan will release four types of limited edition doughnuts for autumn from Sept 15 at all stores in Japan.

The Caramel Walnuts doughnut is frosted with caramel icing and topped with walnuts. The Cookie Vanilla is decorated with a cream mixed with cookie bits, and striped with a bitter chocolate icing. The Cheesecake is a shell-shaped doughnut enveloping a cheese cream interior, coated with cheese powder, and topped with parmesan cheese. The All Berries is a shell-shaped doughnut with a sour cranberry, blueberry, and raspberry filling containing pulp, and decorated with a blueberry and raspberry-flavored chocolate.

Four more sickly reasons for hundreds of Japanese doughnut lovers to queue up for hours on Shinjuku's Southern Terrace every day...

Recently the line isn't more than 10 or 20 minutes long. KK is not an exclusive brand as it once was.

I've never tried those doughnuts, because I don't want to wait that long in a line for doughnuts!

Are they even good?

Cookie Vanilla is the only really different type. The cheese filled, Berry filled and Caramel often appear on the menu.

Recently the line isn't more than 10 or 20 minutes long. KK is not an exclusive brand as it once was.

I don't think that's the case. There's more KKs around Tokyo now instead of just the one in Shinjuku. Also the mad fad that japanese have for new sweet shops has passed for KK and moved onto Grom Ice-cream or whatever else is shown on TV next.

I find the Japan KK has a rather poor selection compared to Korea's KK which has many different types that are more varied than just iced or filling.

Anyways, KK donuts are not bad. Original glazed is worth it. But the rest I'd pass on unless you are a serious donut lover. My advice would be to try Takashimaya, they have a small selection but the donuts are cheaper and taste great.

Have no time to wait in line for Donuts. Only mindless people would spend so much time for a bit of sugar.

Shut up! Until they get Krispy Kreme over here in the sticks, I don't wanna hear ANY MORE about tasty donuts! (doughnuts?) And p.s. waiting in the line is the best part - lovely ladies like to talk to me, and the free, fresh donut is so tasty. I love it. It's better than ZaZen.

What charming dougnuts for this Fall in Japan! Japanese need to ensure themselves not to eat too much! The Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Japan is not responsible for their weight problems. As soon as these limited edition dougnuts are available, the watching trees are prepared to shed their weight, thanking to their falling and colorful leaves!

I'm surprised KK is making any money these days considering it is all but disappearing in the States...

You don't have to wait for donuts anymore as there are now lots of shops in Tokyo. There's one in Yurakucho; I waited there for about 3 minutes the other day before being served. The 2-hour-long queues in Shinjuku were the case about 2 years ago, not any more. If you go on a fine weekend you might have to wait 15 minutes or so, but not at other times.
