Siemens Hearing Instruments has released the acoustic aid Nitro SP for persons with severe hearing loss. The sound output is said to be the best in the industry with features that lessen static noise and howling to improve comfort and functionality.
The acoustic pressure of the sound from the speaker is a maximum 150 decibels, amplifying the sound from the microphone by 10,000 times. The hearing aid has enhanced functions for picking up low pitch sounds, while the anti-howling software has been improved by 3 times compared to conventional models.
Price per ear: 200,000 yen - 335,000 yen.

At 150 db, wouldn't this device cause further hearing loss
PepinGalarga
yeah, can't be 150 decibels. 140dB is standing 50m away from a jet airplane or and 120dB is in front of the stage at a Who concert.

LoveUSA: I have 4 hearing-impaired co-workers and all get those stuff. I once asked and they told me that the state sponsors a large part of it. The rest is out of their pockets.

I wonder if a hearing impaired person with problems in bothe ears needs one or two fo these devices given their power, maybe only one is enough? If he needs two for both earsm the rice is more than half million.

LoveUSA, it's usually just one.
