Belly up

It’s counterintuitive, really. Why would a company be releasing a belly warmer in the middle of summer? Actually, for the same reason that office workers everywhere keep blankets in their laps: to regulate their body temperature when sitting under an industrial-strength A/C unit.

“Despite their comfort and health-promoting properties,” say the makers, “haramaki have long been thought to be a rather unfashionable item that people tend to wear in secret underneath their clothes.” But no longer. This new line of knitted garments features design motifs ranging from polka dots to kokeshi dolls, and they’re machine-washable and stitched to last well beyond the sweltering summer months. The old geezers and old babes in my old neighborhood didn't think them to be a rather unfashionable item that people tend to wear in secret underneath their clothes. Apart from their stu-tecco long underwear, this bellywarmer was all they wore wandering around inside and outside their houses. Some things you'd rather not see!

Or just turn the AC up slightly. Nothing worse than freezing your tits off in summer.

Maybe the prices are cheaper now than if sold in winter when they are more in demand?
