This is the first drinkable version of Danone's Bio brand of yogurt. The new version is perfect for consumers on the go, the company says. It also contains a large dose of the probiotic BE80 and the company says it uses a patented fermentation technique for a mild flavor. Comes in a set of three 80ml bottles for 188 yen.

Sorry, asianTourist, but probiotic yogurt is not a Japanese invention. It's very, very common in many western countries.

And Danone is a french company with headquarter in Paris.

Danone makes the best yoghurts. I love yoghurt drinks and I can't wait to try this one.

HumanTarget, hey, Bulgarian yogurt sold in stores is probably not made in Bulgaria either.
No need to invent it to become common.

Danon wanted to get the licence for producing Bulgarian yoghurt and was a competitor to Meiji but Bulgarian government gave the rights to Meji, Japan and Danon was very envious at the time. Danon has no rights at all to the Bulgarian bacteria.

Too bad Danone Japan are out of milk and you can't get any of their products anywhere!

Yap, I have not been able to buy any danone yogurts since the quake.

it is ridiculous to advertise something that does not exist in the real world.

Danone is one very jealous company that could not get their hands on the Bulgarian bacteria and now they produce something called Bio which is not real yoghurt at all. probiotic Be80 is most probably antibiotic.

exacty. Look what is written on the bottle. Plain yoghurt with added sugar. Usually plain yoghurt is made of 100% milk and bacteria and no sugar.

Another day, another pseudoscientific buzzword -- and one more bogus medi-food.

They have anything like this for kids?

Is this yogurt somehow too racy for them?
