Fall is in the air, and in Japan one of the great displays of that is when koyo (紅葉), autumn foliage that adds vibrant shades of red, yellow, and orange around the country, takes center stage and gets many admiring the beautiful scenery outdoors.
While there's nothing quite like taking a stroll outdoors to take in the beautiful fall surroundings, it can be a bit more difficult these days with many staying home. Fortunately, grape SHOP has a number of ways to bring the celebrated Japanese fall season to your table, highlighted by these ornate sandblasted glasses of Japanese gingko and maple tree leaves.
The two beautifully designed sandblasted glasses feature carefully crafted patterns of Japanese gingko and maple tree leaves fluttering in the air, in brilliant yellow and red coloring, respectively. The sandblasted patterns do not fade when washed or aged, so they stand to add some autumn flavor to your dinner table long beyond the fall season.
It's not just glasses, however. Coffee and tea lovers can drink in the fall flavor with these mugs that use a special paint that changes color at about 45 degrees Celsius, so when you pour a hot drink into it you'll be able to see some fall leaves change color. There's also one with a beautiful sakura pattern, so you can enjoy blooming cherry blossoms in the spring.
Finally, those looking to enjoy some chilled sake can try these sakazuki, traditional saucer-like cups for drinking sake, that transform into colorful fall leaves as well. These sakazuki feature a colorful autumn leaf pattern but when filled with a chilled beverage (below 17℃ to be exact), a special inner coating transforms the leaves into even brighter yellow, orange, and red fall foliage.
