August 8 is International Cat Day, and what better way to commemorate this day than to buy a pair of cat-themed wireless headphones? Japan, in particular, has several destinations that were made with cat lovers in mind. From cat cafes to temples and an island, there are even cats that “run” train stations. Culturally, cats symbolize good fortune in Japan.
In honor of International Cat Day, Radius will release its newest lineup of wireless earphones with a twist. These cat-themed earphones dutifully follow the theme down to the smallest detail. Since its initial announcement, over 10,000 preorders have been placed. A part of the proceeds also goes to a cat protection program called neko no mirai tobira (cat’s door to the future). Upon first glance, the earphone case is molded after a cat curled up on a bed with three fish, which indicates the charging status. The earphones themselves are marble-colored, and each pair features a unique color.
The NEKO true wireless earphones HP-C28BT are available online for ¥8,822.
