Chocolate Cookie Crumble Frappuccino with White Chocolate Pudding

When it comes to sweets, Japan doesn’t pull any punches and Starbucks is no exception: their newest Japan-only drink, the Chocolate Cookie Crumble Frappuccino with White Chocolate Pudding, is one of the sweetest things you could suck through a straw.

If you’re craving a coffee-based dessert drink, this is probably the Frappuccino for you. The chocolate chip and chocolate cookie crumble should be enough to pass any chocolate lover’s taste test, and I found they give the drink a satisfyingly crunchy texture.

However, I have to admit I was disappointed with the white chocolate pudding. I was expecting that kind of rich, melt-in-your mouth pudding that would mix with and complement the rest of the drink, but instead it felt like somebody just took a cup of grocery store pudding and plopped it into the bottom of the cup.

Thinking back, it could just be that I was supposed to mix the pudding in with the drink, but then that would ruin the presentation as a whole, right?

The Chocolate Cookie Crumble Frappucino with White Chocolate Pudding is available at Starbucks stores across Japan while supplies last.

Toooo sweet, pudding was absolutely horrible, not worth the money. Starbucks IMHO has been over-popularized, before the coffee was great, way back, but now the quality sucks for the most part and with these new flavor of the month concoctions, I wonder if the marketing dept. in Japan do some serious taste testing or just come up with strange flavors and randomly put them together. The last couple of months of the coffee flavors that came out were just awful. The taste quality went down, the calories are going up.

Anyone notice the metabolic creep happening in Japanese? Compared to 10 years ago, they're getting plumper. In another 10, with heavy caloric offerings like the one highlighted in this article, they'll look like present-day US of A.

One of the many things that the Japanese do well is make sweet desserts. I would love to try it.

With a girl who is weight concious or "on a diet". Doesnt really exercise....... "fancy a startbucks after lunch?" "yeh why not" goes into startbucks, and orders a Small Caramel Millions of Calories Frappuchino-like thing. I just dont get it.

Tried it. Didn't like it. Too sweet and the "pudding" wasn't good.

Diabetes in a cup!

That's a big 10-4.

A little coffee with your cookies, whipped cream, and pudding?

"Dessert drink"? It's got more calories than an all-you-can-eat buffet in a glass. I love "Staba", but have to be careful about calories.

The quality of the pudding is what I wanted to know about, and it sounds sub-par, which is a shame.
