Maybe because... the people like them?

Another could be because it sounds healthier. Even though it's covered in fattening honey and chocolate.

This looks like the perfect calorie bomb yet completely yummmmmie.

Sounds kind of good. I can imagine a long line of Japanese salarymen lining up for it: NOT.

The chocolixirs are SO amazingly delicious!! But don't have them anymore because the sugar/calorie content is just too high. Oh well.

@MrDog: Maybe because this is Japan where tea is basically the national (non-alcoholic) drink?!

The name sounds like a laxative's brand name... otherwise, it looks good :).
