Is it a lantern? Is it a chair? Surprise! It’s both. The folks at Thanko have done it again. They’ve released a compact, portable chair you can bring anywhere. It’s adjustable, lightweight and can hold up to 180 kilograms making it the perfect gift for just about anyone. Use it for camping, as an ottoman or as a side table the possibilities are endless.
If you’d rather have it as a lamp though, it comes in three lighting settings: soft lighting, a gradiation and a flashing mix of red and blue lights.
It’s powered using two AA batteries and is made of plastic so you can easily wipe dirt off using a paper towel or washcloth.
Available online at the official store, this accordion chair goes for ¥3,480 or ¥6,260 a pair.

I usually pick up (free) wooden boxes in the autumn that transport apples from north Honshu.
I glue a cushion on the top and have a free seat.
