I am not sure if they are as compact or accurate but pedometers are sold in 100 yen shops.

Omron is an anagram of moron, and they're playing their customers for fools with these pedo goods.

lightweight and easy to carry
Yeah, other podometers are so heavy and difficult to carry...

Digital pedometers are like, what, 15, 20 years old?

true, same like rearranging the alphabets and reading omron as moron.

A "Pedometer"?

...sort of more on point; the whole pedometer thing eludes me (as I am not a fatty).
The only time a human would need to buy something like this, is if they are being paid for the amount of distance walked.
Just walk.
Bicycle computers, I can understand, as serious road riders track some major distance, and are actually throwing themselves into aerobic exercise.
Etc.

I will go for the 100 yen shop model, it's a very strange world you live in, nemoflow, where all 'human needs' must resemble so closely, your own.
