Drinkable cheesecake

By grape Japan

Japanese sweets and snacks maker Morinaga has quite the resume of sweet tooth satisfying releases, including fluffy pancake steamed buns, but they've recently been working on a lineup of beverages that turns food into "drinkable" versions, such as drinkable ice cream and even sweet potatoes.

The lineup can now welcome a classic dessert to its ranks, as Morinaga is introducing a new beverage they're calling a "drinkable cheesecake."

Available in 450ml recappable cartons, the new rich and sweet milk-based beverage is said to recreate (in drink form, of course) the feeling of devouring an entire cheesecake.

The drinkable cheesecake cartons will be sold throughout Japan (outside of Okinawa) starting Jan 26 for a limited time.

Well, if you like milk-based drinks like smoothies, then this is just a sweet milky, creamy drink with a tiny bit of cream cheese for flavour.

I would like to try it warm with a shot of Natto juice as a chaser.

If it's chilled it might be quite refreshing.

One of the best things about solid cheesecake is the texture. Drinking it just doesn't do cheesecake enough justice.

Awwww, for a limited time only?!!!

But seriously, a poll taken in the household has revealed this as a bad idea.

I don't know about drinkable cheesecake, but I heard of someone that went to the store and got milk, and then to the gas station and got gas. I suppose he was lactose intolerant.
