It's mosquito season!
Thanko has released an electronic insect bite healer for sale.
Its tip part gets heated to about 50°C. By pressing it on the affected area, it will reduce blood flow volume and relieve the itchiness and irritation without medical skin cream.
There is also a small LED light built-in, which makes it easy to use in outdoor situations.

Haven't these been around for quite a while?

Pressing a spoon, heated up by hot tap water, onto the affected area does the same thing.

I have finger nails. One of their good uses is to fix an itch.

Chewing some cigarette tobacco and pressing into a bee or hornet sting works as well.

The manual pumps have been around for some time now, and are actually often a required item to have with you at longer trail running events (other ones being water and emergency blanket), so I guess they do work.

Fine if you're a cowboy... bit unhygienic, methinks. If it's like ants with formic acid, milk would neutralise it, whereas with alkaline stings vinegar or lemon juice would do to counteract them.
