Have it your way at Burger King this spring

Burger King Japan lets you have it your way this spring by adding extras of everything you could ask for during the company’s spring campaign HAVE IT YOUR WAY! And in order to demonstrate how big a burger can get, the chain has started sales of two new burgers, “All Heavy” and “Meat Monster.”

The two new burgers join the Whopper family and are crammed full of meat, cheese and extra veggies. All Heavy includes 1.5 times more lettuce, onions, pickles, mayonnaise and ketchup, and Meat Monster is even larger, with a 2.2 times bigger grilled beef patty, two slices of cheese, three slices of bacon, and a grilled chicken steak.

The All Heavy is priced at 420 yen (750 yen for a value meal), and the Meat Monster is 820 yen (1,150 for a value meal).

That's gross.

Does "HAVE IT YOUR WAY" really mean have it your way, like in the old Burger King commercials, or does it must mean they've got two new burgers?

No, no, don't let in the creeping cancer of customer choice! We might be dragged into the 20th Century. Oh, too late, it's the 21st Century.

There are few Burger Kings in Japan outside the Tokyo area. Products for a local shop like Burger King would be better featured on a local website.

I hope the extra veggies come from outside Japan. And BK! Where are the chicken fries and breakfast menu?!

That is disgusting.

Meh, until Bruger King gets some franchises out in Kyushu or Kansai this means nothing.

They had a breakfast menu for a while, but if Japan loves anything it's cutting down the menu til it looks like everyone else's menu. Either it wasn't profitable or OMG CHOICES!! RUN!!

I don't eat Burger King or Mac, but I don't know what the managers in Japan feel after reading your comments. Exactly, they have previewed and marketed their products before making any new menu and promotion campaign. How much is a salary of an average store manager and the CEO?

What is a menu? You look at it and order your food. But this new campaign attracts people with visual images and message - more but pay less. If people are on diet, they will choose another place, otherwise they pick BK or Mac. At least for time-consuming and convenience. BK managers know more reasons to do this campaign.

... so just like Subway really? I mean this isn't innovation it's just copying Subway's business model where customers get to choose what they want. Of course Subway is WAAAAY healthier (it's my favourite fast food), because if you want you can get a sandwich that's light on meat and heavy on tomato, lettuce, onions, olives, green peppers, and a ton of other veggies, all on a delicious fresh foot-long of your choice.

@mrskit. There is one right outside of Asaka station.

i don't understand how these burgers represent "hav(ing) it my way?" shouldn't that mean that i can design my own burger instead having the burgers already named and filled with meat and veggies?

I hadn't had a BK in awhile, so the other day I tried one--what crap! A dried out nasty puck of beef.

Wish there was one in Shikoku!!

BK is the best, what are you people grousing about ? It's 100% actual beef, flame-grilled, and delivered to yer maw piping hot and delicious. BK is the best ever. Try going to First Kitchen or Lotteria to see what a crap burger is. BK haters go away !

Oh good lord... look at the size of that Meat Monster! How many calories and how much fat is in one of those?!

But what if my way is, say, a cheese mentaiko takoyaki burger? Are they really going to make that for me from scratch?

Meat Monster... I have heard that before....

Can't believe people are still eating something like that nowadays.

@ mrskit- there is one in Omiya

I had the meat monster yesterday. It was so big and unhealty. I was so disgusted with myself after managing to eat the entire thing. After I ate it I was dizzy. It was delicious but I think I wont eat fast food for a while, a long while.

My chest just tightened looking at that photo.

A Meat Monster burger? Just the name is enough to put me off!
