The rainy season is here in Japan. The fashionable illuminated umbrella "bright night" could be helpful to make the depressing wet season as fun as possible. "bright night" is currently sold at sirobako.com, the online store run by Century.
"bright night" is fashionable, functional and durable umbrella. The main feature is that it has 2 krypton lamps attached inside and you can turn them on to light up your feet in the dark. It's good to use for a security reason because when its lights on, the umbrella can be spotted by people who are 30 meters away.
Six designs are available for 4,090 yen. Also, A smaller sized version for kids is sold for 3,070 yen.

Wasn't a version of this in Blade Runner? Still, seems like a fine idea. Especially all those bike riders out there on a rainy night.

I also like theirs transparent umbrellas, simple yet ingenious, since it is easier to see surroundings.

Hope these become really popular among men and women who must wear dark suits and walk home on narrow roads at night in in the rain. They are almost impossible to see when driving. These would help a lot!! One for kids is a great idea!!
