Lady tester

Bandai has a reputation for designing ingenious and witty products, but this one might have been better left on the drawing board. The Onna Dameshi (Lady Tester) aims to help insecure women in their 20s and 30s fathom the depths of the male psyche, and hopefully score themselves a mate in the process.

“What color underwear should I wear?” “How should I cut my hair?” “What should I drink when we go to a kissaten?” The answers to these and other life-or-death questions are answered, based on a survey of 1,000 eligible bachelors.

As an added bonus, a built-in mirror lets women check their makeup while they play, and wonder who that sad-sack loser staring back at them in the reflection is. (Metropolis)

-What a warm thing to say about Japanese women. Nice.

“How should I cut my hair?”

This is a question that the overwhelming majority of Japanese women really need to be told the answer to. Take my word for it.

The answer is short, or even shave it all off regularly. Mohawks are also ok. But just letting it go is nasty and it gets in the way.

Seems to make a nice pairing with the "Cute" ambassadors appointed by the Japanese government to "promote" Japanese "culture." On reading such totally "only in Japan" stories, you seriously wonder how deeply entrenched the use of physco-hypnotic drugs is in this country because if they ain't on drugs, there is no other explanation. Here are some of my responses to the questions posed.

“What color underwear should I wear?”

Wear none, to use an old US military term, "Shock and Awe."

“How should I cut my hair?”

With a potato peeler.

“What should I drink when we go to a kissaten?”

Anything other than the water in the flower vase on the table.

They should write a book too "How to make $ off bored Japanese women" .

When I read the title I thought "Lady Tester" lets you know if that cute chick across the bar is a dude in a dress.

Waste of money.

Lady tester? what if she fails? If you got a Lady tester and a Man Tester you could send the machines to a cafe and they would be a perfect match. Then they could stay at home and email their friends just like they would have if they had gone to the cafe them selves.

None; don't; and nothing, you should leave and go to the nearest bar to drink. 2499 yen for a desperate machine, or ask guy friends for free?
