Panasonic has developed a unique new massage chair. Even when not using the chair’s massage functions, users can relax with the chair’s built-in leg rest. Users can flip the calf massage unit over and use it as an ottoman.
The chair comes in 10 different colors and retails for around 2,000,000 yen

Is this a sofa for Lilliputians, or did the photographer slip when s/he was aiming for the much larger, less aesthetically offensive (and probably cheaper) sofa on the right? As massage chairs go, the one time I managed to sit in one (the wife of the bloke sleeping in it in Yamada Denki wanted him to look at bidets), I felt like a heavy rollerblader was tap dancing up my spine. Isn't 2mill a wee bit dear for a chair that thinks it's a Paul Smith tie?

Any padded, upholstered chair is called a "sofa" in Japanese (I know not why), and they come as 1-seaters, 2-seaters (a "love seat" in the English-speaking world), and 3-seaters.

Only 2 million? Cheap!

"The chair"
I'll go with The Chair. It's a chair, not a sofa.

2,000,000 yen . . . wonder how many REAL massages that would buy me ?????

semperfi - At 20,000 per REAL massage, that would buy you 100 REAL massages.
