Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Japan will start selling a new brand of mini-doughnuts on Feb 22. They will come in six different flavors and two types of boxes - a minibox (with 20 doughnuts) selling for 2,000 yen, and a minimini box (with three doughnuts) selling for 380 yen.

The golden rule is "Eat food". This is not food.

Bring a box of 20 of these to work. You'll be popular with the OLs in no time.

Why the immense price hike in the 3-pack? That's too bad. If it was the same price as the 20-pack I would give them a try. (assuming there was no line, in which case I wouldn't bother going at all).

Hara doughnuts is great! If only the location near me hadn't closed up last year.

NOW I remember why I need to come back to Japan (go back), I need to go to Krispy Kream.

get the same amount of satisfaction as with a big doughnut

how could I get any satisfaction from something that I can swallow in one bite than with something I have to "fight" for, take three or even four bites and than nearly suffocating before feeling the rush of sugar in the blood..?!

And size does matter for things to take in your mouth, ask any woman ;-)

There's no rule that says you have to eat the whole box

Ha! You'll be telling us next that there's no rule that says you have to finish a bottle of wine once you open it, or that it's OK to eat just half a Kitkat.

you could just take smaller bites and get the same amount of satisfaction as with a big doughnut.

That is just so wrong on so many levels.......

;-)

Nothing wrong with a doughnut now and again. There's no rule that says you have to eat the whole box or that you can't also eat carrots after you eat your doughnuts. And mini doughnuts are even better, since you could just take smaller bites and get the same amount of satisfaction as with a big doughnut.

I think the problem some people have is conflating "treat" and "meal." A doughnut is a treat. It is not a meal.

More overpriced poison.

It is somewhat a nice experience. Line up and watch the fashion show at the store and when you get the new doughnuts, it could be a good experience.

Definately something to line up for 2 hours to get!

Hara doughnuts are wonderful; and does not make you feel guilty after eating. Zenny is right, worth a try.

Ranger Miffy.

Ever tried Hara Dougnhuts in Kichijoji, Tofu and lots of vegetable flavours?

I like doughnuts made from tofu. Sounds weird I know, but really hefty without the sugar bomb. And I am with Chocky, :-).........akai carrots by the bundle! That's yummy, with toasted goma..

Big or Small I don't eat at Kripsy Kremes.

My fav doughnut shop opened a 2nd shop in the station now(old shop is a bit of a walk).

The minimini box seems to be rather pricey when compared to the big one(which would last me like 7 weeks).

I ate a whole dozen of those once, when I wasn't fat. Now I eat one and I can feel my belly expanding.

Chocky-- How big are those vegetables?? Are you sure they're big enough to give you enough nutrients?! This is why it's important! I need to know how big those donuts are so I can estimate the calorie intake and how many of them I will be able to eat in one sitting without getting sick and/or feeling guilty about the inevitable adding of inches to my waistline!

What's that? I can't hear you over the sound of all these vegetables I'm eating.

Chocky-- How can you say such a thing?! No two donuts are the same! Size matters! These kinds of details are extremely important!

It's a box of donuts -- probably not worth losing any sleep over their actual size. Thanks for the laugh, though.

Yeah, how tiny are those exactly?

They look cute though.

There needs to be a hand or something in the picture to show scale.
