Mos Burger, FamilyMart unveil Mos Teriyaki Nikuman

Mos Burger and FamilyMart have teamed up for the first time to develop a teriyaki burger-flavored nikuman (meat bun). This special collaboration is available at 16,600 FamilyMart stores across Japan.

The Mos Teriyaki Nikuman was inspired by Mos Burger’s most popular menu item, the Teriyaki Burger.

Last week we set out to try this curious-sounding nikuman. One of the first things we noticed was that the flavor wasn’t overwhelmingly salty or had any strong flavor. It was a mild blend of miso and sweet soy sauce that went well with the chunky meat bun filling, giving just the right amount of umami you would expect. The steamed bun was incredibly fluffy, light and paired nicely with the teriyaki sauce.

While we don’t think it’s an absolute must-try, it’s worth checking out if you’re interested in tasting a nikuman take on a Teriyaki Burger.
