Moving alarm clock

The Nanda Clocky was invented by MIT Media Lab student Gauri Nanda, who devised it as an ingenious way to budge the most stubborn sleeper from under the sheets. When you hit snooze, this gizmo whirs into action, rolling off your bedside table and along the floor to a far-flung corner of the room. The next time the alarm sounds, you’re forced to jump out from under the duvet and embark on a bracing wake-up walk across the frozen wastes of the bedroom. (Metropolis)

Not unless my "hitting snooze" sends it over my 8th floor balcony. How can anyone hate themselves enough to even try out an evil device such as this?

I'd prefer the Stephen Fry alarm clock, personally

Exactly, also a piece costing Y8,400.- may become a cause of sleepless night for me.

I need this.

"a piece costing Y8,400 - may become a cause of sleepless nights for me"

No worries - I know someone who just spent Y60,000 for a watch, and he sleeps like a baby.

な~んだ (Nanda!).

Maybe fear of 'Kinjo Meiwaku' (annoying the people next door) will motivate you to leap out and pounce on it with a cushion.

I just put my alarm clock in the other room.

that works fine too.

I figure 3 should do the trick. This product is for people that do not have children it seems.

I'd probably sleep through it, then get up and crush it underfoot once I wake up late and rush off to the bathroom.

This is so stupid. Just do what I do. I put my alarm clock on my desk which is clear across my bedroom. 8,400 yen saved.

What a bunch of killjoys. This clock is a gas. Every morning Mrs Taiko hides it somewhere in the house. When it goes off it's damn loud and sounds like R2D2 on speed, so I have to leap out of bed and find it before I lose my mind. And it's great for freaking out the cat when you hit snooze...
