New whitening skincare collection from Fujifilm

Fujifilm’s new whitening skincare products from the Astalift series offer solutions for skin discoloration, usually caused by extra melanin production and too long exposure to sun. The three new products -- whitening lotion (4,830 yen), whitening essence (8,400 yen) and whitening cream (6,300 yen) -- include Vitamin C and Arbutin, which prevent the formation of melanin. Additional whitening supplements are also available.

I am all for taking care of your skin, but I have been worried about the bleaching properties of this kind of cream. It seems like it would dry out your skin and produce wrinkles faster, which is opposite of what most girls are going to want of their skin.

My ex-wife laments the fact that she didn't worry about the sun in her teens, twenties and 30s because now she has a LOT of freckles, and black spots that she is very concerned about.

Come to think of it... so do I!
