Panasonic has a new steam-powered cooking range capable of heating even frozen foods in a short time. Called the “3-star Bistro,” the machine uses double the amount of microwaves as a normal range. It is capable of completely cooking frozen foods up to three times faster, without the need for a defrost option.
Open pricing.

They forgot to mention it also helps hide lots of income as well. We know what Panasonic is good at. : )

Mith242,
That's why it's 'open pricing'. But steam-powered. Now that's innovative.

Steam-powered! Ha! You don't need to plug it in--just hook it up to the hot water heater??? And double the amount of microwaves!!! Just what the happy, newlywed couple needs as they try to build a family!!

I've never liked the microwave cooking style. I WISH this was a true "steam cooker" that did not use tinywaves. Now I know that is one style I will avoid. Bring out the great pot I have, add water, and food, and lid, and VOILA, true Steam Cooking with no nasty teensywaves. Ah well.

doesn't seem healthy. then again...

Who wrote this stuff without checking the proper expressions? Probably it should say "twice the power compared to standard microwaves", double the amount of money you have to pay for the mostly useless bells and whistles.

Since my old stove gave up a few yrs ago & since I do not cook lovely suppers for myself. A low on cost Black & Decker sort of oven has done the job for me especially in frozen foods.
Panasonic is something I can use for small extra things, to be warmed up, at the same time & this is my 2nd Panosonic in something like back in '77, though admit this new Panasonic was purchased 4 yrs ago.
I think I will stick with the above though not that great.
