Pioneer has released the world's first wireless portable BD/DVD/CD writer (BDR-WFS05J) that can wirelessly connect to a PC and play BD software. It's compatible with Windows PCs.
Pioneer adopted the ultra-fast USB virtualization technology for the BDR-WFS05J to make it work as a USB device wirelessly. You can choose a connection mode out of 2 modes: "Station mode" which is a wireless connection routed through a router, and "Access point mode" which is a direct connection to a PC without routing a router. The transmission speed of "Access point mode" is 70Mbps so that it can play BD software in high image/audio quality smoothly.
