Panasonic is releasing two new robot vacuum cleaners in their RULO series. The RULO vacuum has a triangular shape that enables it to squeeze in and sweep the corners of a room.
The MC-RS810 and MC-RS310 are additionally equipped with three types of obstacle detecting sensors, using laser, ultrasonic waves and infrared rays.
These sensors can detect obstacles with a width as thin as two centimeters which makes it possible for the vacuum to reach easily missed areas like the area around chair legs.
The MC-RS810 also has a learning function that retains the layout of a room and the spots where dust is accumulated the most to cut down on the time needed to clean.
It can be controlled from a smartphone app.
Instead of a smartphone app function, the MC-RS310 comes with a remote control that allows users to set a cleaning schedule up to a week in advance.
The new models go on sale from late October. Price: Open.
