Despite many competitors, Starbucks Japan’s flair for creative seasonal beverages remains unmatched.
They released three Christmas Frappucinos across the holiday season last year, and even Valentine’s Day has already been honored with the announcement of four (!!) limited time only chocolate concoctions.
So it’s probably safe to say that this first sakura release is just the start of a chain of cherry blossom goodness coming our way, thanks to the inescapable coffee chain.
Before Starbucks’ yearly main event of the sakura Frappuccino and hot beverage which will be available in the coffee shop branches, a warm-up act is sold in convenience stores in the form of a chilled cup drink.
2020’s is an ostentatious mix of several indulgent treats in one handy beverage.
Aromatic cherry blossom flavour has been combined with a rich white chocolate cheesecake taste, culminating in a sweet and milky drink. Not just this, chunks of milk pudding add a comforting texture and a bit of bite to an already satisfying beverage. Like the drink itself, the name is a bit of a mouthful, Starbucks Sakura White Chocolate Cheesecake with Milk Pudding.
But if you can’t remember the whole name, you can just search for the pretty and pink floral cup design in the chilled drink section of Japanese convenience stores from Feb 11 onwards.

I wonder if this would take away the aftertaste of the Whole Corn Soup beverages in vending machines.
Feeling thirsty? Nothing like a cold whole corn beverage!
I will try it. Sure wish I could post my face here doing both.

What, you don't like cherry cheesecake? I bet this is good.
