Say goodbye to handwashing shoes with Brush Boy Washer

If you’re looking to give your shoes a second life but dread handwashing them, then the Brush Boy Washer is just what you need. It comes with an attachment that thoroughly scrubs off dirt from your shoes. All you need to do is add water and detergent to start the cycle. After about 10-15 minutes, you’ll have squeaky-clean shoes.

Depending on what you’re washing, you can also opt to remove the brushes to clean rags, washcloths and pet goods. The best part? The Brush Boy is so compact that you can disassemble it by putting all of the parts inside the drum of the washer. Available for ¥18,700 online.

Gosh! Whatever will they think of next?

Washing the school slippers (uwabaki) is a common complain from families, specially those that have more than one child in elementary or junior high. For some reason they are made so it is very evident when they are not clean and are hard to wash. It is understandable that machines made specially for this task are sold, but usually the result is not good enough and the slippers still have to be washed by hand afterwards.

Why not just toss them into the clothes washer? That's we've done for ages. That thing looks like a cross between a jumbo blender and a vacuum agitator!

I could buy five pairs of new shoes for that price.

Buy cheap pay twice. It's sometimes good to splurge.

The oldest shoes I still wear are from 1997.

I hope you clean them using the Brush Boy( or equivalent).

I had a pair of RAF WW2 flying boots but that's a different story.

You just know someone is going to use this one day washing shoes, the next making giant smoothies. No-one notices until they find something nefarious amongst the blended strawberries!

If you don't have primary school aged children in Japan, you need not comment as your opinion doesn't matter. This machine can be really useful for washing the uwabaki school indoor shoes and it's targeted to those customers.
