Stay prepared with disaster prevention slippers

Now might be the best time to throw out those cheap ¥100 shop indoor slippers and invest in something more durable. The new King Jim Disaster Prevention Slippers are made for everyday use around the house or office. With earthquakes being a common occurrence in Japan, it helps to stay as proactive as you can.

Lined with multiple levels of cushioning, the sneakers are comfy and help keep your feet protected from any broken glass, cups or plates. Unlike other slippers, these ones come with a band that can be worn in two ways to keep your feet snug and secure inside the slipper. It’s stylish, washable and comfortable. Available in two colors and sizes, these slippers are made to last.

You can buy them online for ¥4,180 on the King Jim website.
