With Chinese New Year or Lunar New Year just around the corner (January 22), now might be the best time to start preparing.
Marking the end of winter and the beginning of spring, this tradition is celebrated worldwide across over 50 different ethnic groups. Alongside the typical new year traditions of cleaning the house to let good fortune in, lighting firecrackers and giving money to younger family members in red paper envelopes, arguably one of the best parts of the Chinese New Year is partaking in all the delicious eats.
Traditional Lunar New Year cuisine varies by region and could include anything from hot pot to dim sum. This year celebrate the new year with a little help from the Tenshin Ranman, an electric steamer built for frozen food and, you guessed it, dim sum.
The Tenshin Ranman comes with three sizes of bamboo steamers allowing you to steam multiple trays of dishes at once. It’s easy to use and clean making it a great addition to any festivities you have lined up.
This steamer goes on sale on Jan 18 for ¥8,800.
