From Acecook comes this north European soup tailored for the Japanese palate. A traditional soup from Finland, the ingredients include salmon, dill herb, chicken, onions, potatoes and cream. 178 yen.

Lol..just made that soup without the chicken as in the original recipe. Without telling anything about this whole story to my J-hubby, he said the soup would have been better if there had been some chicken it. So, I guess, the company did nothing wrong in tailoring it to the Japanese palate.

Most Tokyu stores and a few Ozeki stores (amongst others), have fresh dill. Best to shop for it in the morning as they sell out quite often by later in the day. Prices vary but usually around 190 yen or so for a pack of more dill than you are likely to need.

Forgot to add. Foxie might be interested. Making some "Saure Suppe with Parsley potatoes on the side".

Dill is available at quiet a few shops, including Dill sauce. One local shop even stocks Maggi Seasonings. Heck, I can even get full Vanilla pods to make Vanilla Sugar at my local store.

Will try to make that soup over the next few days from online recipes(unless my finnish friend sends it to me earlier).

Dill? I have loads. I plant a lot in spring and dry it afterwards. I will make it myself too.

OK, the real soup is called 'Lohikeitto' and the only thing that is different in the Japanese version is the chicken, there is none in the Finnish soup. It is pretty easy to make at home if you have the time.

Reminds me a lot of Russian soups, so it must taste good. The idea of the Air Ace line deserves kudos, I hope they will expand it in the future and include Turkish soups too because they make the best instant soups worldwide.
