Tully's is a bit overpriced in my opinion. But hey, I guess that's parfait for the course.

Norip, that wasn't anywhere close to the parfaict joke, par from it. Anyway, just looking at that picture makes me wonder what is so different to what they are offering as opposed to some other store.
Altria
Icecreamed at that awful parfait line. Sundae you're gonna regret all these silly puns.

I'm sure the parfait is Parafflicious, but I kinda like going to Tully's for their coffee. I wish shops in Japan didn't have to try to be trendy in order to survive here. Though I was really bummed when TacoTime closed here in Hiroshima a year after I got here. Used to be A&W's in Japan too, but now only in Okinawa. (Actually found one somewhere else, but could only order burgers because they didn't sell root beer. Wha?!?!) Shakey's is also disappearing. Anything disappearing in your neighborhood?
BTW, who else thinks Tully's coffee tastes a lot better than Starbucks?

My neighbourhood MOS Burger is gone...

news...uh, okay

They need to serve a product that continues to satisfy the customer as well. Then, I think, there are just too many coffee shops, boutiques, eating houses, etc., etc. in urban areas. Competition is murderous, resulting in a high turnover.

I'm sure its going to be the next big hit....for at least a season. Then they'll add a new variation and make the customers feel loved and cared for. At least they limit the size of the dessert. People sure don't need to gain more weight. Has anyone seen the latest commercials on the trains by the main fast food chain? Say it ain't so Joe...far from parfaict. After all this, its no wonder the "perfect diet" craze made/continues to make millions
Himajin
terebiko, I think so too.

I'm going to start queuing now, maybe take a flask of hot tea and a newspaper

terebiko, I join Himajin in agreement with you. Starbucks overroasts their beans, hence the "charbucks" nickname used by some coffee aficionados. But most Stabucks customers would care less, they drink those fatty things served in domed plastic cups, not a simple cuppa joe. Tullys has better drip coffee.
