Sanyo's new optical trackball allows cursor control by using the ball, with no need to move the main unit and less stress on the shoulders and wrist than a conventional mouse. The product features five buttons. On sale at 2,980 yen.

looks similar to the logitec one I've been using for years

...but this one is cheaper than Logitec...therefore SANYO will corner the market with this cheaper copy product. Good job SANYO. Very innovative...not.

Hmm, novel concept, this trackball. Well, it was novel when released 20 years ago. I've been using one for over 10 years.

Never had much wear on my shoulders or wrists. Tracks balls hurt my fingers.

I think this article came from a time machine. It can't be current that someone thinks a track ball is a "new" product.

Strictly speaking it's a thumbball.

Make things even faster, make more touchscreens.

why don't they just make "the new" "trackball" into the keyboard, (they already have) but just improve it. Make the keyboard wireless, long range, bluetooth enabled, IF enabled, all the things to make it USEFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! god people don't think of patents, they just blow them off. What a GREAT IDEA!!!!
