What's Vista OS ... a new virus or something? Otherwise, why does it always show up in my spam folder along with viagra and other growth enhancements?

"Vista OS Smart phone" is a kind of oxymoron.

the word "vista" and "smart" can't go together!

Looks good if Vista really runs well on this device. the only thing that buggers me is that you will need a headset to use it as a phone. This ultimately makes the smart phone more of a PDA than a phone. Image every time you want to make or get a phone call you start fiddling out the headset ... not very practical!

Will it be "downgradeable" to Windows XP, which has a better performance than vista?

Why do all people believe that XP is better than Vista? Where does the common misconception come from? I think Vista was bashed by MS haters even before it had a chance to really establish. I'm not a MS sympathizer either but I used both OS'ses long enough now. If you own a decent PC Vista runs a lot more smooth and stable than any Windows before.

What? Vista? No thanks, I'll pass.

Because, XP runs with less resource, very smooth, with less bug, it doesn't lack drivers, it is backward compatible and it doesn't bug you every time you want to run some program.
MS is going to keep XP for long actually!

The management at WILLCOM must be insane. What next? IBM's mainframe z/OS on a digital rectal probe? Only Apple could pull that off.

I use Vista on one of my PCs. I can't really say any of the horror stories people go around saying have been true. I like it for connecting devices like my XBOX360 and my MP3 player, and the internet connection function is light years ahead of XP. But those are things important to me, so everyone will have different hot points. All software I've tried to load has loaded perfectly and the speed is about the same as XP even tho I run Vista on a laptop and XP on my desktop.
A buddy of mine had a friend build a PC for him about 4 years ago and his friend insisted that XP was going to be the end of the world. Too unstable, full of security holes, etc. What did he do? He insisted that my friend get Windows 2000 instead. Now it's 2008 and he's using an OS that was developed over 10 years ago. You can imagine how fun that has been.
