Not necessary.

This is a good product for those who drop their USB sticks into toilet often.

Made specifically for those Finance Ministers who might have a tendency to lose grip when near a bottle of sake.

I've washed my SanDisk Ceuzer USB Flashdrive when I did my laundry.....it was in my coverall pocket. It actually still worked. People sometimes wash their pants with the wallet still in it so why not a USB Flash drive?

Cruzer...

My maid has washed mine like 3 times and it still works fine. Just a cheep little 4 gig that I paid like 60 bucks for a couple years back.

I got a Cruzer last month for about 2300 yen. If that's supposed to be waterproof too, then why get Otas when my one is 16GB. It works with both Windows and Mac.

not needed if you're like many Americans who need a car to travel and spend, at most, 2min walking from building to car....if your Japanese who needs to ride their bike home from the train station, over several kilometers, something like this does sound pretty nifty.

Yah; but is it fool-proof? What a gimmick.
