Iconic anime series "Neon Genesis Evangelion" may have had its newest film, "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time" delayed by a global pandemic, but that hasn't stopped a slew of merchandise releases intended to celebrate the film's release. Just in the past few months there's been "Evangelion"-inspired Fender guitars, Tamagotchi, and even an upcoming life-sized statue that allows you to board and take a synchronization test.
Japanese earphone and headphone maker SNEXT has now made is turning the beloved anime into a series of high-end and stylish headphones with their Evangelion x final Wireless Earbuds.
The "EVA 2020 x final 3D audio earphones" are designed with the color motifs of EVA Unit 01 (Shinji), 02 (Asuka), and the Mark 06 (Kaworu), with matching charging cases.
The earbuds also feature a voice prompt from NERV technician Maya Ibuki. The buds feature Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C interface, Qualcomm QCC3020 chipset, and aptX audio support. They provide six hours of listening time and 63 hours when used with the matching case.
They're available for pre-order (with an Aug 6 release) from Final audio and NTV Shop, with a recommended retail price of 19,800 yen.
