Thanko has released a wristband with a hook called "Maji Karu Hook", which is designed to help people carry heavy bags effortlessly.
All you need to do is put the wristband on and hang your heavy bag on the hook such as a business brief case or plastic bag after grocery shopping. The hook part gets hidden in your palm and people can hardly see you are using "Maji Karu Hook".

The human wrist is not that strong, and if the weight placed upon it seems excessive, the best way to deal with it is to find a way to reduce the load on the wrist, such as by use of a shoulder strap. A device like this one might lead to injuries. The model in the picture is shown gripping a phone in his other hand. What's he going to do if he slips while walking on steps? I feel extremely uncomfortable walking beside people who do this kind of juggling act on the steps of rail stations, etc.

I totally agree with you. This can be misused and make people believe they can lift anything, inevitably overdoing it and getting injured.
I've seen a grocery bag holder which is basically just a handle they hold onto where they hook the grocery bag up to. You prolly seen those when you buy something thats in a cardboard box and they just put the straps onto a handle. Just about the same exact thing.

I think this is a good idea, those plastic shopping bags just cut into the back of your fingers when they have shopping in, which cuts off circulation. I just hope people don't think its a device that allows you to carry more, if it is that's a bit daft.

I don't see in what that helps.

Umm, it looks pretty obvious to me. Don't even understand how that is a selling point to it. Is this something people are going to be embarrassed about like their books? Perhaps we can put a brown paper bag around their hand while we are at it.
