I am going to see it on Friday. Looks good.

Hope it does well, but I doubt it will.

This is one of those "never happen" movies.
When is DiCaprio and Kate Winslet going to make another movie together?

Opens a week earlier in the U.S. Looks like Ken Watanabe is doing some major promoting locally.
Nolan is a terrific director. Will certainly see this one.

Thanks God! Maybe I will watch it with somebody.

thank you warner brothers for sponsoring such a spectacle!

Nolan is a genius story-teller and vision director. All his film until this moment are great but Memento was a once in a decade film, the best

@genjuro - It opens the same day in the U.S. as it does here, July 23rd. Very rare, but w/ Watanabe in it they of course can subtitle it in time...

IMDB.com said it opens July 23rd in the U.S., but I've just seen MSNBC.com and it says July 16th.

The true mind game is how DiCaprio continues to be cast in these high profile roles. He lacks substance and depth.

@movieguy
The official US site has it opening on July 16th.

totally disagree, i think DiCaprio has done nothing but get better since Blood Diamond. played the hell out of his roles in The Departed and Shutter Island. didn't like him in the beginning but have since changed my op.

Don't make me laugh. It offers an astronomical special effects budget and a stupid story designed to have a big opening weekend followed by a massive plummet in ticket sales once word of mouth gets around that it's terrible.
I predict a 72% drop in ticket sales after the opening weekend.

blunderbuss: I hope you didn't make a bet on that. Just opened today in States and got a rating of 84% favorable on Rotten Tomatoes.

Sarge. You saw the DiCap/Winslett one a couple years back where they are married in New York, right? Really good movie. They will make more movies together, I think. Good chemistry and a lot of talent and trust there. They are both well connected and get good scripts.
A lot of people have this visceral hate for LDCaprio. I don't think I have seen a movie where he was really really bad. From the time he was a little kid, he has generally done better and gotten better roles. People have these crazy high standards it seems. Look at Kurt Russell. He is a slightly better than average actor, I suppose, and a journeyman, with a few cult hits and a really long resume. LDC has done far fewer movies and they are generally better, and now he is peaking into good roles without going the 100% action role cop-out in the process.
He's ok. He's better than most. He chooses his roles more carefully than a lot of stars, and I appreciate that.

It was a fun film to watch. I saw the IMAX version in Saitama. There is so much going on that I'm thinking of watching it again.
