Even so, if the governments and agencies simply divided it by the population and reported that as headline data, it would still be light years ahead of merely reporting GDP, which is merely an aggregate, ie, "bigger is always better."

@ JeffLee GDP ?? It's just another one of those fudged and massaged numbers like CPI & Employment numbers which are total BS and only a Lemming believes

A start would be to use gdp per capita in official headline data, rather than gdp. Another is to suppress our population growth. low birthrate countries with small populations tend to have the highest living standards and better environment.
