You make it seem like it’s a sad thing. It’s not.

I think the account will comeback in a year or two after Trumps influence diminishes a bit.

“He rocks in the tree-top all the day long
Hoppin' and a-boppin' and a-singin' his song
All the little birds on Jay Bird Street
Love to hear the robin go tweet tweet tweet”
sadly and unfortunately America’s leader whiled away his days tweeting, playing golf, watching daytime dramas on TV and praising Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong-un and Adolf Hitler. It was the consortium of his ex-wives Ivana, Maria and Melania who ran the White House while the corona fueled chaos raged unchecked across the country.
To quote Donald, “we are doing too much testing for the numbers should be much lower“. Sadly, the Trump supporters do not wear a mask to show solidarity with their great leader.

Good riddance. Probably the best thing about the news cycle for the past couple of days is that his idiotic musings haven’t been a part of it thanks to him getting banned.

Next, they need to block his dopey kids accounts

zichi, that's not Melania's actual account. It's a 'fan account' that's obviously highly politicized, but not actually her. Her actual accounts are the FLOTUS account (https://twitter.com/FLOTUS) and Melania Trump (https://twitter.com/MelaniaTrump), both of which are very rarely used it seems. Her personal account hasn't had a single tweet in nearly a year.

Farewell, and good riddance.

Trump will claim that he declared at 57,000 not out. He still lost by over an innings this year though.
His account has been 'suspended', not banned or deleted, so isn't this all a bit premature?
ClippetyClop
Odd phrasing. 'suspend' suggests that it is temporary, 'permanent' suggests otherwise. They seem to have permanently temporarily stopped his access, whatever that means.

@Zichi
Fair enough, info appreciated as always.
Trump's phone has essentially been bricked.

Trump is a Qaddafy on the media, a loudmouth with the maturity of a 6 day old.
Good riddance to rotten rubbish.

The library will consist of a phone and a coloring book.

Good riddance ... albeit four years too late.

It means he lost his megaphone. That's all that really matters.

In this case a Donald Duck.

I'm sure there is still a pile of men's magazines in the bathroom......................

Well, there are always Presidential press briefings he could revive.

What is interesting is that the Republicans and the right wing media have latched on to the banishment of Mr. Trump from Facebook and Twitter as an example of "censorship" of conservatives by "Big Tech". A high ranking official in the Texas Republican Party called it "a level of censorship that would make China proud,”
The right wing do not strike me as being perceptive chess players. Lets say the Republicans are able to achieve their seeming fondest wish and repeal Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act of 1996. Do they really believe that having done so the Facebooks and Twitters of the world will suddenly allow them to say anything they want with no moderation? Repealing Section 230 would make the web hosting services civilly and possibly criminally liable for anything posted on their site. Under such circumstances web hosts are going to place heavy restrictions on content, far more than we have now. The internet would become highly restrictive. You might even see much social media disappear entirely out of fear of lawsuits over content posted by users.

Options! How about saving us all the trouble and reporting to a Federal prison to be booked and jailed?
