China will continue to do exactly what China wants to do - simple as that. It will continue to use fossil fuels for decades to come, including building hundreds of new coal-fired and oil-or-gas- fired power-stations without let or hindrance, whilst sticking two-fingers up to the responsible countries on our planet who are pledging to achieve net-zero at every instance.

Then they demand that the rest-of-the-world buy all of their goods and products - No Thanks, I've managed to get by nicely for several years now without buying anything at all with 'Made in China' stamped on it. It's not easy, but we'll worth the effort.

This is a good start

How does your "good start" refutes the professional opinion of the scientific community of the world? how does this contradicts the conclusions of all respected scientific institutions of the world saying this is a huge disaster?

Do you think they have an "incomplete picture" of the situation? even when it is precisely their field of expertise?

This is a good start for those who have been fed an incomplete picture of the history of climate change: https://wattsupwiththat.com/2009/12/12/historical-video-perspective-our-current-unprecedented-global-warming-in-the-context-of-scale/

True--that kind of manufactured, manipulated ranting makes me want to take an extra lap around the block before I park.

What part of the scientific basis for the declarations can you prove are manufactures and manipulated? That the scientific consensus do not align with your personal preferences is not an argument to call them wrong, you would have to prove every respected institution of science in a related field is wrong first.

"Humanity has opened the gates to hell", he says. "Global boiling", they scream. And that is the reason no one is listening to all this hysteria and profoundly unscientific hyperbole.

Maybe China knows something a small batch of "experts" don't know.

The situation is dire, and the whole scientific community agrees with it. The only ones not listening are those that take pride in ignoring scientific evidence so they can behave prioritizing only their personal benefit. That is not exactly an example to follow.

I do not expect China and India to pledge to phase out the burning of coal, but is it too much to ask that they pledge to stop building new coal burning power plants?
