Just me but I think Mr. Biden knows exactly what he is saying, means it sincerely and this is his way of nudging Congress and US allies to consider evolving their policies towards PRC and Taiwan. This has been a long time coming and the CCP have nobody to blame but themselves.

One has only to look at Biden's hasty retreat from Afghanistan to see how committed he is to his so called allies.

Taiwan could save much bloodshed by surrendering now.

Overshadowed by U.S. President Joe Biden's headline-grabbing vow that American forces would defend Taiwan against a Chinese attack was his hint at possibly shifting U.S. policy to support the island's right to self-determination.

If the US can do so without sending our troops into battle there, I'm all for it.

Just me but I think Mr. Biden knows exactly what he is saying,

I really don't think that he does with so many of his decisions that have gotten our troops as well as Americans in trouble, he definitely doesn't think or understand the consequences of his words or the aftermath ramifications when it comes to geopolitical issues given his short but disastrous history. I think we should defend Taiwan, but the US under this leadership is nowhere near ready for a military confrontation with China.

In this case, Joe cannot make it clearer!

China oversteps the mark and the US will be there to repel the invaders!

I’m 100% sure that he knows what he means as do we all.
