China has no room to aim for international leadership right now, it should be aiming to do damage control by moderating their expansionist agenda over Taiwan and other Asian countries first, make up for the coronavirus debacle second and end up their minorities abuse third. After it finishes doing that it can begin to think about how to present itself as a leader.

China has no struggle with the subjugation of the Tibetan genome, the eradication of democratic movement in Hong Kong, the violation of land and sea borders, and making plans for a future war over Taiwan. This is a dangerous government and the region will pay dearly when they come to collect...

Russia, Iran, Pakistan, and China are on one side. All nuclear powers. It would be in the US interest to have an angle against this group as a whole via China.

China today is up against a US that has alienated it's allies. Next year China will be up against a US that can work with it's allies and present a united front. No void.

If we are able to get rid of Trump, look for sanity to return to American foreign policy. Despite our differences, there is much that the US and China can agree on.

Like the atmosphere's low-pressure and high-pressure systems constantly rotate, one sucking the other into it, in order to equalize voids, so go world politics. Don't pick a side. Just watch. And keep your hand off the button. In the words of a Canadian, 'Chill baby.'

If you mean capitulation and sucking up to dictators like Iran and China to allow them to literally by the United States and to capitulate to our adversaries, do you know call that a return to sanity in a liberal sense.

Despite our differences, there is much that the US and China can agree on.

As long as China can retain the upper hand and as long as America would use which kind of once in the process to screw America, probably.
