UK daily coronavirus rates are the highest since January. Totally out of control there.

When Joe Biden finally did so, over half a million Americans had died of CoVid-19 because of the lies his treasonous predecessor had said - never mind all the violence, double talk and strife he greatly stirred up himself.'

Fauci said that in the summer of this year, we will all be off of the lockdowns and masks don’t work, that piece of work Joe said if you’re vaccinated you don’t need to wear a mask. Seems a lot of lying and backtracking is coming out of this WH.

Now the state governors haven't been doing their end and it hasn't got any better except that we have the vaccination and the ones who haven't are the most vulnerable and the ones more likely to die from it.

Like DeSantis said, when you have an open border like a sieve and you allow thousands and thousands of illegals in with a vaccination of only 7% you are bound to have a crisis, your adding to the problem not solving it.

*We have a planet of 8 billion people to innoculate. I lost my elderly uncle to it, and two friends of mine got it but survived. this ain't no laughing matter or a hoax. *Get the vax!

If you chose to, talk your healthcare provider which is the right course to take or whether the vaccine is right for you or not. Never allow the government to dictate to you what you need or should take.

'Oooooh, it's a hoax! Democrats made it up!'.

'It'll be over in 3 months. Bluh!'.

'Kung flu!' Bluh!'.

The US did not get the advanced warnings and Special Presidential Address that it should have got when it started. Drowned out in the applause were expert warnings that there was no way to tell who was and who wasn't vaccinated, and a country restless for an end to the pandemic was essentially being placed on the honor system.

You didn't have to be an expert to see that this was a terrible decision. Anyone who'd spent any amount of time in American culture would know that millions of jokers would take this as a blank check to act as they wanted, vaccinated to not. I wonder if these CDC folks spend so much time in labs and offices, making science and data based decisions, that they forget the culture and societal implications of the place that they live in.

"The single biggest mistake of the Biden presidency when it comes to COVID 19 was the CDC’s precipitous and chaotic change in masking guidance back in May,”

This is horribly awkward phrasing. Did Biden himself have anything to do with this decision? As far as I know, it was totally the CDC's call for their own agency's guidelines. Which as we've seen, may be grounded in science and data, but has absolutely no context to American culture.

"The single biggest mistake of the Biden presidency when it comes to COVID 19 was the CDC’s precipitous and chaotic change in masking guidance back in May,” said Dr. Leana Wen. “It had the direct result of giving people the impression the pandemic was over. It allowed unvaccinated people to have free rein and behave as if they were vaccinated, and therefore we have the surge of the delta variant.”

In order to agree with this preposterous analysis one would have to assume that when people were 100% masked the masks worked 100% of the time as a preventative measure. That assumption would be equally ludicrous unless every person was wearing an N95 or similar type mask which we all know less than 1% of the population was or is now.

Would I rather have 5,000 cases among 20-year-olds or 500 cases among seniors? I would rather have the younger.

That’s of course such a completely wrong conclusion, I cannot even find civilized words to comment it further.

The spread of misinformation about the vaccines enabled a festering fog of doubt that has clung close to the ground in many communities, particularly in Republican-led states.

Media outlets share a responsibility for this problem, what is the point in publishing well researched and sustained articles that make clear the huge advantages that vaccines offer only to have dozens and dozens of comments repeating all kind of lies and disinformation about them?

Vaccination rates (as well as adoption of non-pharmaceutical measures against the pandemic) have been lower in the US because of many reasons, including some that are deeply irrational. So giving a space to agents of disinformation should be one of the easiest to solve, except that apparently it is not.
