If we sit back and let Putin win in Ukraine, he will start WWIII.

At this point, we almost have to go into Ukraine and help them. Otherwise we'll all be mired in WWIII because inaction.

I don't particularly care what Macron says, but I do believe NATO's feet should be put to the fire and the organization should unequivocally tell Putin to get out of Ukraine or watch NATO's air superiority make that happen. If Putin threatens a nuke (or worse, actually uses one) he and his cronies won't last a day. I don't think anybody wants that, but it's time for Europe and NATO to demonstrate some real backbone. This has gone on long enough.

France offers troops while MAGAs present their backsides.

Putin's at war not with Ukrainians, but rather people like Macron and others

You have to be especially thick to convince yourself of this.

Putin is literally at war with Ukrainians and not with Macron and others.

Got a lot of garbage here, so let's take it out one piece at a time.

Ukraine must realize their former mainly Russian speaking citizens legally sought, fought for and achieved their independence for cause. They will not become Ukrainian again. Continued fighting serves no purpose.

Russia's actions are illegal as you know. Continued fighting secures Free Ukraine's independence since an unconditional ceasefire is not on the table by Putin.

Macron should recall EU officially & publicly condemning Kiev Regime multiple times for its anti-democratic behavior towards and treatment of Russian speaking citizens, setting off their Civil War starting back in 2014.

We have fond memories of those days before Russia tried to kill Ukraine outright. Also a government can't start a civil war when it isn't even in power yet.

Ukraine Civil War's escalated under new Kiev Admin and even more with Biden taking power, predecessor Trump, very careful not to fuel this regional matter into present global proxy conflict between US NATO and Russia.

Nope, Russia started its invasion before the Maidan revolution was even finished. Biden did absolutely nothing Ukraine related before the invasion. Doing nothing is not escalatory. Even manchurian candidate Trump knew it was Putin's War.

Such a tragedy in Ukraine, that should have stopped years ago, much like the Yugoslavia US engagement that effectively partitioned the country, keeping the peace.

NATO only separated out Kosovo (with Russia's approval). Get your facts straight. The tragedy should have stopped with Putin taking is evil plans with him out a Kremlin window.

Good investigative journalism below, seems Macron's a true war monger, wants to be a modern-day Napolean!

After two grueling years of bloodshed, it's time for peace in Ukraine

Story by Medea Benjamin & Nicolas J.S. Davies

Yay, another favorite article of yours! Too bad it has clear Russian maskirovka in it in the form of this supposed peace plan Ukraine was supposed to agree to with Russian troops in sight of Kyiv.

Apparently, Macron and others falsely believe the Ukraine 'template' will be a great sales tool to promote Democracy across the world!

A Free Ukraine would be good for promoting democracy, including in Horde State Russia itself.

Thick, not understanding deep history of Ukraine and Russia, their interdependency, for FAR longer than US has called itself a country. Macron should know better!

And also part of Poland/Lithuania for about as long as it has been part of Russia.

Putin's deeply concerned about Ukraine falling prey to US Globalist manipulation, their goal of having Ukraine join NATO and declare Russia its enemy. No different than China convincing Canada to declare US its strategic enemy, only US and Canada don't have much history.

The US doesn't cr*p all over its neighbors so yes, our borders are secure. And Russia is only 35 years old because it keeps collapsing as a horde state. Ukraine did pretty well killing 100k Russians as a supposed "proxy".

Talk. Macron is real good at...talking.

France, need anyone reminding, is, two years into the Ukraine situation like the rest of NATO, yet STILL NOT contributing 2% of GDP towards its OWN defense, as it's been BOUND by NATO Treaty to do for over a decade now. Europe as a whole now admits that, despite planning and funding for over a year, their own collective economies CANNOT provide even HALF the monthly amounts of shells that they promised to Ukraine, not even by the end of 2024!

France is already free riding on America (Mais oui, bien sur!) and Eastern Europe (all of whom, save Czechia, contribute over 2%, and with good reason next door to their East). THEY are next in line, while France is cushioned by its cordon sanitaire of buffer countries surrounding it. Yet here he is, between stuffing himself with danishes at endless talking-shop meetings, suggesting to volunteer direct human soldier intervention in a non-NATO country conflict?

Talk talk talk, mon tres petit Macaroon. Talk up your fever dreams of putting "boots on the ground", which if it turns out to be like your other Treaty Obligations, will most likely be boots NOT Made In France!

If we sit back and let Biden keep manipulating Ukraine, he will start WWIII.

Im sure that’s what you meant right? It’s not a conspiracy theory that this is a Biden/US /UK proxy war.

It wasn't Biden or the US with tanks rolling towards Kyiv.

Maybe Ukraine shouldn’t have declared war on their own citizens back in 2014 eh?

It was absolutely, 1000% their right to do so. And the only reason it wasn't a simple police action was because of Russia.

This ought to drive a huge wedge into the alliance as certainly a large chunk of NATO members in Europe don't want a direct conflict with Russia.

Almost nobody thinks that it will be a return to business as usual with the horde state. Maybe Orban things it will be.

Study your history books and you'll see that the gorgeous city of Lviv in western Ukraine was a Polish city since time immemorial that was annexed by Stalin after the invasion of 1939 when Hitler and Stalin agreed to split Poland in half.

The Poles still resent that loss and consider Lviv to be their city. Hungary and Slovakia also had lands taken by Stalin after WW2.

It seems that these NATO countries see an opening here to reclaim those areas under the initial guise of creating a security buffer in west Ukraine.

NATO troops from Poland won't actual engage any Russian forces, they'll simply push Ukrainian troops out of those historical areas, claiming that they are "demilitarized zones". Eventually, they'll be reintegrated back into Poland, Hungary and Slovakia after the dust settles.

Poland isn't a barbarous state, though, particularly under its current leader.

One wonders if Europe is deliberately slow with promised weapons because they want Ukraine to lose.

Eastern Europe was not slow.

@HopeSpringsEternal

So according to your statement, Putin never invaded Ukraine and never started a war. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense... Not!

2 ( +3 / -1 )

I thought NATO was supposed to be a defensive alliance?

Seems that they preparing to go on the offense.

They're going on the defensive. The offensive has already started with Putin trying to impose Russian borders Eastward towards NATO by invading and taking over Ukraine.

Putin's at war not with Ukrainians, but rather people like Macron and others, who are simply puppets of US Globalist Special Interests, and their destroy Russia agenda, using Ukraine as proxy force to do so.

I agree: Putin is using Ukraine as a proxy to fight the West. That's pretty evil, don't you think?

This war between Russia and US has been going on since the fall of the USSR in 1991, trying to turn Russia into a subservient satellite like Ukraine is today.

Have a corrupt economic system and never any justice in your entire history and you are going to have problems being a strong country. Free Urkaine was pretty happy before Russia started trying to kill them, too, btw.

US military industrial complex loves booming $business, but not good for rest of world, as global destabilization, escalation and risk increase. Macron should wake up!

US MIC is 3% of US GDP. It clearly needs to be larger, though, to meet the needs of locking up fascists running amok around the world.

It is Macron infuriating pompous political vanity.

Its a dangerous divisive character flaw.

A political form of Tourette's inexplicable tics, movements of his mouth, without any warning to his fellow EU member states or NATO allies.

Normally to conceal obscure defect his political domestic woes.

Macron's Ukraine troop talk shakes up NATO allies

All according to plan. Endless war is the goal. Russia was the easiest to instigate into attacking Ukraine and best choice for NATO. Well, I have my wonderful masks to stop COVID, now all I need is nice big cardboard box for a nuclear bomb shelter and I'm ready.
