Despite the continual and loud whining about austerity in the EU, it never happened. The majority of EU countries have INCREASED their budgets year after year. The whole idea of austerity was a myth. What this clown wants to do is to spend money even faster, and make it even harder on businesses.

All because lazy voters have been promised for years that they can have whatever they want without working and their problems are not their fault.

The world is at a horrible tipping point because the vast majority of voters in democratic countries truly believe that they can get something for nothing, and that their problems are due to somebody else making money.

We are doomed. Load up on gold, guns and canned goods. It's gonna get ugly.

Perhaps appropriate that the Socialists who started the decline of Europe will now get a chance to finish the job.

If I remember correctly the basis for the ongoing crisis was the fault of goverments initialy deregullating the banks. Austerity measures are seen at the moment as the only solution, we are all paying for the mistakes of the banks, speculators, mortgage providers and developers, regardless of the fact that the majority of the population lived within their budgets.Gold prices have escalated and sooner or later those who invest in this product will find the price of this commodity tumble in to the same seething pot that the property speculators crashed into. mr Hollande, I wish you luck you are going to need it
